ARTISTIC STATEMENT My work rides the fine line between control and freedom. Reaching for pure physical abandon combined with extreme technical prowess, the work drives the dancers toward generous emotional portraits of themselves. I make dances from my gut in the hope that the audience will take a ride with me. Each new work embraces the everyday challenges in life, creating a whirlwind of movement and drama filled with contradictions and dichotomies. Both physically and emotionally, the performers attack space with an unabashed sense of strength and vulnerability.
