PREMIERE DATE     11/1/2008 PREMIERE LOCATION     Tribeca Performing Arts Center, NYC COMPOSER     The Books COSTUME DESIGNER     Christian Grant In "Unabashedly Me", Ellis Wood Dance teamed up with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Center in New York City (second largest in the world), to give audiences the opportunity to see a wider range of gender experience. LGBTQ community members participated in a series of workshops led by Ellis Wood Dance and funded by Lower Manhattan Community Council. Community members performed in "Unabashedly Me," each expressing something personal about their own experience of gender as the dance unfolds.
